So long as it's Fusion 5 or higher, just run setup.
If it's Fusion 4, you may encounter issues with the video driver as I can't see if Fusion 4 was ever updated to officially support Windows 8 guests. In that case though, if the only goal is to get something running, be sure to deselect the video driver from VMware Tools setup.
